As though we needed more to convince us of the benefits of a good night’s sleep. A new study suggests making up hours lost during the workweek is harder than it seems. And it’s not just sleep you’re catching up on, but your ability to function. So if sleeping in on the weekends won’t do the trick, what to do? Well, unfortunately, the obvious answer is also the best one here: get enough sleep. If at all possible, get in naps (try squeezing it in to your commute, unless of course you’re the driver). If you have trouble nodding off before bed, ditch all screens for at least the hour prior. And make time for sleeping just as you’d make time for a proper meal or exercise; science is increasingly proving it’s just as integral to your health and well-being.
